Bharati Vidyapeeth Distance Education admission announcement 2014-15

It is unusual that I recommend a private or a deemed university but after year of observations, I have recommended many people about Bharati Vidyapeeth.

The reason for recommending Bharati Vidyapeeth is as follows:

1. It has A grade status from NAAC (possibly, because its founder has very good political connection) although its full time MBA placement is poor and degrees are sold under management quota. However, it does not have a bad reputation.

2. It has approval from Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of UGC and I have yet not got a copy from AICTE about approval of its distance education programme. I have seen many universities openly selling degree through agents by risking career of the students.

3. I have not seen that this university is violating territorial jurisdiction (A private and a deemed university must offer courses strictly in its campus only. This university has campuses in Pune, Navi Mumbai, Delhi, Kolhapur etc.

4. It offers professional courses like bCA, MBA, executive MBA, MCA etc. Which is beneficial for students.

5. It strictly asks transfer certificate and migration certificate in original of students for admission. This minimise chances of students getting admission on the basis of fake degrees so helps in maintaining recruiter's faith.

6. It offers MBA, BBA and BCA in distance mode with regular evening classes. I strongly recommend that for management, computer application and technology courses, there must be classes otherwise students cannot learn. This is extremely advantageous.

This is good for the students who are not staying in the cities where a central universities

    1. Hi Vikram,
My suggestion is, instead of looking for further courses, you should focus on enhancing your networking in the corporate and demonstrate your ability as HR generalist or the role in which you are more interested.
Any aBC school cannot help you grow faster (unless you join IIMs, JBIMS, FMS, ISB, TISS XLRI etc.)
You should look into your corporate contacts and first thing, get entry into a good corporate company and enhance your learning. Once you do it, you should seek growth on the career by learning and applying for other organisation (you should at least spend 2 years in a company). I am sure this will help you.

  2. Sir,
I want know about Mukesh Patel institute of management and technology Mumbai.
It is a college affliated to Narsee Monjee institute of Management Mumbai which is a deemed to be university.
Mukesh Patel college has 2 campus in Shirpur and in Mumbai. It's shirpur campus is AICTE approved but its Main campus which is in Mumbai is not approved by AICTE.
Mukesh patel college offers Btech and Mba.tech programmes and gives the degree of NMIMS which has been approved by UGC as a deemed to be university.

I have taken admission in Mukesh patel college for Btech in Electronics and telecommunication and have to join the college but I am a little apprehensive about the validity of it's degree.
I mean to say, after doing B.tech from Mukesh patel college will I be elgible for all the government jobs like railways, banks, IAS?
And will my degree be recognized for GATE and CAT and GRE?
I mean after investing my 4 years will all the ways for higher education be open after graduating from Mukesh Patel college.
When I ask the people of college they say that all is OK and for my every question their answer is YES. But still some people have told me to recheck and then take decision.
The college starts on 1st august please help.

    1. Hi,
NMIMS is a deemed university and a very reputed too. Unfortunately, NMIMS have not provided any document on mandatory disclosure.
If it is not AICTE approved, you cannot apply for any public sector job or higher education. In that case you should opt Shirpur campus.

  3. Dear Govind
I have read some of your views and comments and must say you are doing a great job on guiding students.
I was one very confused person, when i got a great opportunity to study i just simply coulndt but it is impacting me big time.
I have cleared class 10; class 12; then i dont GNVQ Intermidiate in Business studies (one year) followed by BTEC National Diploma in Business Studies (two years) , then i got lucky getting a job in an accounting firm and then i enrolled for ACCA, I dId only one taxation paper of it as my job involved doing personal tax returns, frankly speaking that job was something i didnt enjoy but then later i got opportunity to work HR Management, i have been working since five years in the field n still enjoy it.
Now problem is I am getting married in India and education is something which is proving to be a major hindrance.
What will be the best education prospect for me which will add value to my experience and further enhance my skills in shortest time scale.
Will I be qualified for an MBA? Its requirement is 10+2+3, and i have done 10+2+1+2, i am totallly confuse and stuck, please kindly advise me.
Do I have to do Bachelors degree, do I have to do all three years, or i can start from 2 ans 3 rd year?
or can i do a diploma in HR Management first and then post graduation of the same?
I am sorry for all constant questions but I am totally stuck and confused.
    Regards

    1. Hi,
Thanks a lot for your appreciation. It motivates me.
See, In India, for graduation, minimum qualification is a graduation degree of minimum 3 years duration i.e. 10+2+3 any other academic programme including Diploma cannot substitute a degree.
I do not know your current location. If you are in UK, over 25 years, you can do MBA through mature entry. The qualification may not be acceptable for public sector job and higher education in India but if you do it from a good university, it will surely help you in getting good job in India.
I do not know how much practically it is possible, in India too, company like google does not ask for graduation for a job. If you get job in such companies, then you may need not to think about a qualification.
In India, yes you have to do bachelors degree from 1st year onwards. Few private universities who do not have any market value may award you degree in shorter term taking bribe but that qualification will be mostly fake so avoid it.
For masters in India, you have to compulsorily do a bachelor's degree. Diploma does not help
