How to choose a distance learning MBA

There are many articles on my blog. You may read them to understand about your career. The right step to choose MBA for working professionals.

I know you are working whole day and finding difficult to get growth in your career as you do not have an MBA. Then suddenly you get many advertisement, on TV, on paper, on internet and you get emails too. You come to know about SCDL, Welingkar, NMIMS, ICFAI all big name (at least through advertisement) and by the time you complete the degree and come out in the market and for your surprise, you come to know that these are just piece of paper as some of them just diploma and not an MBA at all and rest do not have mandatory approval and corporates too do not approve these degrees.

MBA should not be just a tag, it should be tool to enhance your skills and employability. The programme should be such that- it should blend with your work. Whatever you have learned, you should be able to demonstrate in the work and whatever experience you have gained in the work, you should be able to share with the people.

Tips for choosing right MBA for working people
Tips 1:

1. Choose the finest and best reputed institute even if you want to opt MBA for working executives/ part time MBA or evening MBA.

2. Always prefer a full time MBA from top institute i.e. tier 1 institute. if it is not possible for you, then opt for executive MBA, evening MBA or part time MBA with compulsory class room teaching. My experience is, in class room teaching you get mix people from the industry with experience. They share their own experiences while working and this becomes collaborative learning.

Tips 3:
Always prefer a central university in India and if not available, then opt a good state university.

tips 4:
Do not opt Pg Diploma in distance mode at all. First of all, in India, distance learning PG Diploma is not equivalent to MBA so you will not be able to apply abroad, will not be able to pursue higher education and public sector job.

Tips 5
Check if the institute has mandatory approval from AICTE. If it is not there, do not opt.

Tips 6
If attending evening/ weekend part time MBA is not possible for you, then opt a distance MBA but ensure it has classroom teaching facilities with mandatory attendance.

I have already posted list of institutes from where you can pursue distance learning MBA. In this article, I am focussing city wise best executive MBA (i.e. part time/ evening/ executive MBA)
