Dear Sir, I was exploring internet the other day and came across your profile. Want to ask you some questions in regards with some Universities
Govind
sure
KB
Right time to chat sir ?
Govind
sure
KB
I have done my graduation frm SMU. Basically I m based in Delhi. I took admission in 2007 and completed it in 2011. At that time SMU was a fine Uni. without any allegations.
I never has any issues in my private jobs..and I have worked with some big reputed companied like HCL, Naukri.com etc
sorry for the typo
now want to peruse higher studies. Can u suggest something ?
Govind i
for higher studies from a good and reputed institutes (particularly say IIMs, XLRI, FMS, JBIMS) you may face issue due to territorial jurisdiction violation by SMU
however, I think you should try at least
what is your career plan
KB
Well, I wanted to go for XLRI..but i dont think if it possible now.
I have a work experience of 3 years post graduation. And want to pursue Executive MBA
Govind
then you may opt FMS Delhi
KB
It requires CAT with a very high %. How about Jamia Hamdard? Do they provide E MBA ?
Govind
no but if you are in HR they offer MHRM
for executive MBA high CAT percentile is not required
KB
OK. I am an IT recruiter.
They will consider my degree valid ?
Govind
no harm to apply and see
KB
correct
my friends did applied in GGIPU, UPES and Pune Uni. after completing grad from SMU and they nevr faced any issues
Govind
earlier it was not in much limelight for wrongdoing but now they are
KB
yeaah
But it is'nit our fault.
any other Uni. apart from FMS ? I want to continue with my job
Govind
FMS is better and well known
CAT is not required for FMS
20% weightage for your graduation mark
10% mark for post graduation if any
30% mark for experience
10% for writing ability where you need write essay
and 30% on personal interview
but admission for current year is over
You can opt Bharati Vidyapeeth
KB
But FMS required 5 years of work experience
Govind -;
it is 3 years
KB
let me check.
5 years exp they required
my bad
Govind
Then Bharati Vidyapeeth is there
it has a campus in Delhi
KB
sure. I will go and check or else i will give them a ring
Govind
I have mentioned details in my above blogpost
Being a NAAC A rated university, it is also a good option
KB
Yeah. Just going through that only.
Govind
no need to ask SMU degree valid or invalid, simply go with your documents and ask them that you want to take admission, thats it. Most of the university people are blind and has half knowledge
KB
sure. Thanks a lot for the guidance sir. Much appreciated
Govind
always welcome my email id is hopegovind@gmail.com feel free to contact whenever you need any support
KB
thanks a lot.
One more question?
Govind
sure
KB
I can go ahead with this SMU degree and apply for govt. Jobs
Like SSC or IBPS
Govind
no, they will straightway reject
but you may apply to ICICI Bank PO exam
KB
Alright
Thanks
Govind
KB
ok
KB
Hi
u thr ?
Govind
yes
KB
how are u?
good time to chat?
Govind

please go ahead
KB
I m planning to take admission in bhartiya vidyapeeth Uni.
distance
in Delhi
E MBA
but confused :/
Govind
Bharati Vidyapeeth not Bharatiya
KB
Yes. Sorry
hows it ?
Govind
I hope you are enrolling directly with the university and not through agent like edukart or something esle
*else
KB
they have a study center here
Institute of Management and Research, New Delhi
Govind
please refer
yes it is their campus only go ahead
KB
But UGC has dissolved DEC.. so is good to go for distance education?
Govind
people have miscommunicated Ministry of hRD has dissolved DEC which was under IGNOU and now a new body DEB formed under UGC who looks into approval of distance education. In other word DEB is now dEC
please click and read the link I have provided above
Bharati Vidyapeeth is a DEB approved institute and also complying with the UGC DEB guideline for distance education
KB
allright thanks
Govind
always welcome
why are you not opting Pondicherry University? More reputed, a central university and more prestegious
KB
I put up in delhi
put**
wont be there any territory issue
Govind
Pondicherry is a central university under ministry of HRD, government of India so it is a central government university. As per DEB guideline on territory, only a central university can offer courses all over India
and if you found these suitable, please share
KB
sure
let me read
and how abt amity ?
Govind
worst
if you are worrying about recognition and territorial jurisdiction then definitely this is a choice
KB
Hi Govind
Govind
hi
KB
busy
?
Govind
little bit, you may proceed
KB
How abt doing part time MBA from from these institute
Govind
its 3 years programme and thats too PGDM. Better do 3 years part time MMM, MHRM or MFM from ADMI, University of Mumbai or JBIMS or Welingkar or N L Dalmia Mira Road or K J somiya
KB
I stay in Delhi
Govind
if you have 5 years experience, then opt FMS Delhi Executive MBA or else opt Bharati Vidyapeeth
KB
Okay..! CCS meerut provide MBA ? or distance ?
Govind
no and even if it would have offered CCS is not so reputed
why do not you opt Bharati Vidyapeeth go through the link above
KB
Yeah Bharti Vidyapeeth is my choice but i want to check for some other institutions
Govind
Pondicherry can be another option
what specialisation you are looking for
KB
I want to do E MBA
having an experience for three years
of***
Govind
what specialisaion
and e MBA full time or a part time
KB
part time
MR or marketing
HR**
Govind
if HR then you may opt MHRM from Jamia Milia Islamia and for marketing you have only two good, recognized options- Pondicherry or Bharati Vidyapeeth
re you looking for AICTE approval and UGC approval as well? Why do you want to do it'
KB
I am working as an IT recruiter just with a bachelors degree
Govind
so why do you need an MBA, what is your purpose
KB
Wish to have a master degree fr career growth
Govind
ok so does AICTE and UGC approval and recognition matter to you (It is important for higher education and job abroad in future)
KB
Yeah It def does matter
without these approvals degree will be just a piece of paper
Govind
good
then opt either of them- Pondicherry or Bharati they will be beneficial to you
KB
Thanks
Govind
always welcome
